Midnight Resistance was a blog I co-created with my friends Andi Hamilton and Sean Bell, later bolstered by also-friend Chris Spann. We wrote articles about games and games culture, produced a regular podcast, and (with the help of our friends) organised events like the Mount Your Friends UK Championship, our annual Eurogamer Party, #DULLJAM (a game jam for boring games) and a few live shows, with a number of guests writing articles and joining us on the podcast. We eventually shut the whole thing down after about six years because everyone was getting married and having kids and getting proper jobs, and we didn’t have much time left to keep it going.
The best thing we ever did was to raise £2,800 for Refuge by playing Phantasy Star Online together in 24 hours, live on the internet. The second best thing we ever did was to play Phantasy Star Online together for 24 hours, live on the internet.
