Made in partnership with Escape Hunt, this was a 3D puzzle adventure in which players explored exotic virtual environments, searched high and low for clues and items, and solved cryptic puzzles. It was essentially an attempt at recreating the real-world escape room experience on your tablet.
Most of the puzzle and narrative design on this project was handled by the real-world escape room designers at Escape Hunt, but I had a supporting role in giving feedback on how their ideas would translate to a videogame – discussing issues digital game designers might normally take for granted, like why searching through dozens of similar-looking keys to find the one that would unlock a door might make for a fun physical activity but would be a UI nightmare in a videogame.
